...Three of the final four teams in this years&rsquo;s contest represent the Metro conferences, with two of those three from our own Metro South conference.   Of all the surviving teams, only Garfield has defeated higher seeded teams, knocking off Gig Harbor and Overlake. 

...The winners of Wednesday&rsquo;s contests will meet for the championship game next Saturday, 5/26 at Seattle&rsquo;s Memorial Stadium.

Wednesday night&rsquo;s game with Vashon determined that the Bulldogs would take the number three seed in the Metro South conference, behind Prep (#1) and Three Rivers (#2).


...Barring any unforeseen changes, the game will be on Saturday 5/12 starting at 7pm at Peninsula High School, in Gig Harbor, WA.   Please allow adequate travel time, it can be a haul, at least an hour, depending on how you choose to get there&hellip;

...First off, we will be facing Kennedy HS in our final home game at 5:15pm Tuesday May 1st at Genesee Field.


This is followed by a 5pm contest at Lower Woodland Field #7 vs Roosevelt on Thursday, May 3rd, our last out-of-conference game of the season.


...Looks like there&rsquo;s also a 4:40pm that might work, but that would get guys to the field at 5:15pm, leaving only 45 minutes for pre-game work.

Thursday 4/26 could see a pivotal game in our season as we host another ex-D1 team, Seattle Prep (9-1-0) at Genesee in a 5:00 start. 

...These trips East of the mountains are a lot of fun for both players and their families, and we strongly encourage a strong turn out to cheer the boys on.

...In past trips east of the mountains, we&rsquo;ve organized a block of hotel rooms, where the boys slept 4 to a room, which makes the per person cost quite reasonable. The Seattle Prep game, originally scheduled for last Friday (3/30) has been rescheduled for May 8th at 5:15 pm at Upper Genesee.

...Since there are many scenarios where parts of the JV squad are on the field, and parts of the varsity guys are off the field, there is no set time window where there would be an opportunity for &lsquo;extra&rsquo; coaching to be effective. 


...There are a multitude of things that need doing, such as field preparation and clean up, setting up and tearing down the table area for home games, getting volunteers set for scorekeepers, timers and spotters, supplying players, coaches, refs with water.

...These long distance games are hard on the traveling team, so it&rsquo;s become our custom to show our appreciation for making the trip by supplying something to eat following the game. 


...We ask that all Bulldog families bring ten bucks to help defray the cost, preferably at one of the games earlier in the week, and send something to fill out the meal, either chips, fruit, soda, drinks, whatever so at least Three Rivers will not have an empty stomach on the long ride back to Richland. 

...We know that 5:15 on a weeknight is not the most convenient time slot, but the players and coaches put in a lot of effort, and really do appreciate the fan support...

...This class will introduce and refine the skills needed to be an effective and accurate scorer or timekeeper for both middle school and high school games.


In our program, parent volunteering is an essential element to the success of the season, and becoming a scorer or timer is a great way to fulfill that obligation.   It&rsquo;s also an excellent way to learn the game and to get the unique perspective of the game as can only be seen from the scorer&rsquo;s table.

Each player&rsquo;s membership provides valuable blanket insurance coverage for the team and it&rsquo;s members. 

...We are requiring this year that each player have a membership that remains in force throughout the season, no mid-season renewal dates (through 6/30/2012).
